We began as a small online counseling platform in Bangladesh, dedicated to providing mental health support to adolescents and young adults. Over time, we realized that addressing mental health required a more holistic approach, reaching clients through various channels and offering broader services. Today, we provide a range of mental health services, including video calls, audio sessions, live chat, and messaging, allowing clients to connect with professional counselors in a way that suits their needs. Our goal is to make mental health care accessible, effective, and convenient for everyone, both locally and internationally.

Our platform thrives in the digital space, free from the constraints of a physical office. In fact, every single aspect of our work happens online. We run our entire platform virtually, making our services accessible to clients regardless of geographical boundaries. From the moment a client is onboarded to the time they complete a successful counseling session, our dedicated team members coordinate all activities remotely. This virtual setup allows our counselors and operations team to work from the comfort of their homes while maintaining high professionalism and care.

Founded by Sumaya, a psychologist with a passion for mental well-being, and Afrad, a public health specialist dedicated to making mental health accessible, the team has always strived to attract top talent across various fields. Our founders share a vision of empowering individuals to thrive, and this vision resonates throughout every aspect of BloomAid, from our counseling sessions to the seamless operations behind the scenes.

To ensure we deliver high-quality services, BloomAid's structure is divided into two main departments – the Counseling Department and the Operations Department. This division enables us to focus on the specific needs of our clients while efficiently managing the behind-the-scenes work that supports our mission.

Tanzila Efat Taskin

Our Counseling Department is at the core of BloomAid’s services. Led by two senior psychologists, Sumaya Afrin Misti and Tanzila Efat Taskin, the department is dedicated to offering empathetic and evidence-based counseling. Sumaya's expertise in adolescent and young adult psychology brings an understanding of the unique challenges faced by this age group, while Tanzila specializes in adult mental health and relationship dynamics, providing essential support for couples and individuals over 30. Together, they shape a dynamic team that provides the professional guidance necessary to help clients navigate life's challenges.

In this department, every counseling session is tailored to fit the client’s individual needs. Our counselors deliver sessions through various formats, including video calls, audio sessions, live chat, and even messaging. This versatility ensures that clients can access support in the manner they feel most comfortable with, enhancing the therapeutic experience. The focus here is on client-centered care, providing a safe space where individuals can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes.

The Operations Department is the backbone of BloomAid’s seamless virtual service. Led by Afrad, our Chief Advisor, the team ensures that all processes run smoothly, from managing client bookings to coordinating marketing activities. Farhana, our legal consultant, plays a crucial role in navigating the legalities of online mental health services, ensuring that BloomAid adheres to best practices and maintains the highest ethical standards. Aminah, an enthusiastic apprentice, assists in various tasks, learning the ropes of online platform management and gaining valuable experience in mental health advocacy.

The Operations Department’s efforts extend beyond administrative tasks – they also engage with clients directly, assisting with onboarding and providing guidance on how to make the most of our services. Their support ensures that clients feel welcomed from the first moment they reach out to BloomAid.
